Founded in 1993, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Outstanding Students’ Union (HKSAROSU) is a non-profit-making students’ association in Hong Kong. Every year, the 20 awardees (30 before Year 2015) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Outstanding Students’ Selection are admitted into HKSAROSU as new members. With its never-ending strive over the past 25 years, HKSAROSU has successfully grown from a small group to a reputable youth association with over 400 members. The many events and services organised in large are from which HKSAROSU gained not only its considerable renown, but also the encouraging recognition from the community.

To Serve. To Innovate.

Our Mission

  • To develop the unlimited potentials of members

  • To arouse the social consciousness of youngsters

  • To serve the community

Our Vision

Throughout the years, the Union has been organising activities which foster Hong Kong youth participation in promoting community welfare as well as their personal growth. We aim at cultivating young leaders and exploring their potential through series of seminars, workshops, talks, camps, competitions and other activities. On top of that, we organised functions, social services and all other activities that put our commitment to society into real practice. In the past, we have organised various programmes and more than thousands of secondary school students have already benefited from those activities. Those events include:

  • Youth Legislative Council (2004)

  • Media Power (2005)

  • Create Your Metagalaxy (2006)

  • Chinese Culture Promotion Ambassador (2007)

  • Cross-Culture Mentorship Programme (2007)

  • Youth Elites Conference (2008)

  • Project Seed (2011, 2012)

  • Hong Kong Young Leaders’ Congress (2003 to 2012)

  • Hong Kong Future Pioneers (2013 to 2019)
