​Hong Kong Future Pioneers 2026

​

HKFP 2026 addresses Hong Kong’s pressing socio-economic gaps under the central

theme "Bridging the Divide: Equity and Resource Justice for Hong Kong". Combining

interactive workshops with a youth conference, it challenges delegates to explore

systemic issues in housing, healthcare, and education. Through hands-on research and

expert mentorship, participants ultimately achieve actionable policy-drafting skills

and present viable, community-driven solutions to foster a more equitable future.

Day 1: 11st July 2026 (Sat) - Opening ceremoney & Human Library ​

Opening Ceremony

What to expect:

  • Opening speech from Dr. Kwong Kin Hung (Medical Director, Human Health) on social justice and healthcare resource justice

  • Guidance for future pioneers to look beyond clinical theories

  • A direct framework of how policy reform can bridge resource gaps for underserved communities.

Day2 Field Visit: 13th July 2026 (Mon)

Caritas Jockey Club Integrated

Collaborator: Service for Young People (Wong Tai Sin)

Field sites: Subdivided flats in To Kwa Wan

What to expect:

  • Visits in local fresh market chit-chats, old building inspection, and interviewing households

  • Learn about the authentic living environments and hardships the lower-income families face

  • Gain first hand insights of housing divides in the society 

 

Day 3-4 : 17th July 2026 (Fri) - 18st July 2026 (Sat) - Overnight HKFP Camp ​

Lecture on "Education and Poverty"

What to expect:

  • Train for the critical thinking to prepare for the concerence in an interactive manner ​

Overnight Camp 

Topics: Hong Kong's widening wealth gap, extreme income inequality, and the structural barriers affecting low-income families.

What to expect:

  • Exploration on how healthcare access and economic policies impact social cohesion

  • Engage in interactive games, team-building exercises, and a theme-based detective activity

  • Analyze complex societal issues, evaluated fair policy solutions

  • Gain critical problem-solving skills guided by university peers

Day 5-6: 23rd July 2026 (Thur) - 24th July 2026 (Fri) - Service Workshop "A Day With Children"

Collaborator: 

Caritas Jockey Club Integrated Service for Young People (Wong Tai Sin)

What to expect:

  • Participate in engaging workshops, gamified activities and motivational materials

  • Accompanied children for half a day and provided emotional feedback and assistance

  • Workshop empowered participants to communicate with underprivileged students from high-need districts

​

Day 7: 8th August 2026 (Sat) - Final Conference & Closing ceremony

What to expect:

  • Presentation and proposal reagrding the topic of the conference 

  • Election of the final team for the champion of the conference by the judges

  • Gain direct insight from the panel during interactive consultation sessions

  • Gain encouraging feedback, insightful questions and professional ideas to address current social issues

*Certificates and prizes will be presented to the Team of Champion and the team of best resolution
